Name

The Organization shall be known and called “ANGLICAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (NIGERIA)” herein called the “FELLOWISHP”

Motto

Motto of the Fellowship shall be “Towards the Perfect Man” (Ephesians 4:13a).

Emblem

Emblem of the Fellowship shall be “The open Bible standing between a handshake and two twigs joined to form a letter “V” and all on a circular blue background.

Meaning

Bible (White) stands for the Teachings of Christ

Handshake (Gold) stands for Fellowship

Twigs (Green) stands for Young people

Background (Blue) stands for Love

Young people living together in fellowship and love according to the teachings of Christ.

Our Vision

To be the number One Youth Organization in the Church of God and position her for a greater attainment of our mission.

Our Mission

To train and develop Youths in the doctrine of Christianity towards attainment of the Standard required of a true follower of Christ by making themselves useful to the Church, the Nation and the Community, striving daily to emulate the ideals of the Perfect Man (Jesus).

National Pledge

In the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit Amen.

I hereby pledge as loyal member of the Anglican Youth Fellowship (Nigeria) to daily live my life in accordance with God’s Word, the Bible. I promise to be a worthy representative of the Fellowship wherever I am found; doing all I can to bring happiness to my home to serve the Church and my Community.

I will uphold and cherish the traditions of the Fellowship, transmitted to me. I pledge to strive hard in all I do, to emulate the ideals of the Perfect Man JESUS CHRIST.

Our Aims, Objectives and Life transforming plan for Every youth withing the communion and beyond

AIMS AND OBJECTIVE

To train and develop individual members in the true doctrine of Christianity with a view of attaining the standard required of a true follower of Christ by making themselves useful only to the Church and Community in which they live, and also to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, by respecting constituted Authorities, so that they may always in their daily lives strive “Towards the Perfect Man”. To this end, the strategies will be:

1. Worship: That through the opportunities provided in the Youth Fellowship, I will grow in the understanding of worship of God, and be constant in private prayers and corporate worship.
2. Study: That I will do my utmost to read the Bible daily and learn the meaning of the Christian faith, and its relevance to life of my generation.
3. Witness: That with God’s help, I will at all times and in every place endeavor to be a faithful witness for Jesus Christ in my life, word and action. That I will attend Church Services, unless truly prevented, and receive Holy Communion regularly, if confirmed.
4. Service: That I will offer work, money and time at Local, National and International levels to God and men as a faithful member of the Christian Church.

Recreation: That I will take part in various forms of recreation that will give fitness of body and mind and through which God’s name will be glorified.
